Meet the dedicated organizers of this year's Independence Day Celebration! Jimmy Smith (The Mayor), and Jennifer Johnson, our local Darlington Lions Club Member and beloved school bus driver, have worked tirelessly to bring this patriotic event to Darlington.

Parade: Starts at 5:30 PM - Main Street
Parade Lineup: 4:00 PM - Darlington VFC - 2600 Castleton
Fireworks: Begins at dusk (approximately 9:00 PM)
Fireworks Launch Location: Francis Silver Park Soccer Field (Soccer Field is Closed and Off Limits to Guests)
What to Bring: Lawn chairs, blankets and American spirit for an unforgettable evening celebrating our nation's independence!

We're grateful for the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company team, who are not only helping with the parade but also serving up delicious food at Francis Silver Park! Dig into juicy Hotdogs, Hamburgers, crispy Funnel Cakes, and Chips, paired with soda or water—or cool off with a refreshing Snowball!

FUNdamental Youth Sports LLC - Let your kids burn off energy with Coach Mike! While the soccer field will be closed, Coach Mike and his team will host fun, sports-related activities at Francis Silver Park, either on the Paved Court Area or just outside. Known for coaching the Dublin Darlington Soccer Club, Coach Mike brings joy and excitement to kids across Harford and Cecil Counties with his dynamic programs.

Please bring plastic bag(s) to contain your trash during the event. This helps prevent litter from blowing away when you dispose of it in the trash cans. Bonus points if you separate your recycling from trash—our parade volunteers will be cleaning up and sorting the next morning, and every little bit helps!
