This year’s Independence Day Celebration is brought to you by the hard work of two beloved Darlington Lions Club members: Jimmy Smith, affectionately known as "The Mayor," and Jennifer Johnson, our cherished local school bus driver. Together, they’ve poured their hearts into making this patriotic event a memorable one for the Darlington community!

Date: June 27
Parade: Starts at 5:30 PM - Main Street
Parade Lineup: 4:00 PM - Darlington VFC - 2600 Castleton
Road Closure: Castleton Road will be closed at 5:00pm for Parade Setup, plan accordingly.
Fireworks: Begins at dusk (approximately 9:00 PM)
Fireworks Rain Date: Sunday, June 28th
Fireworks Launch Location: Francis Silver Park Soccer Field (Soccer Field is Closed and Off Limits to Guests)
What to Bring: Lawn chairs, blankets and American spirit for an unforgettable evening celebrating our nation's independence!

Please bring plastic bag(s) to contain your trash during the event. This helps prevent litter from blowing away when you dispose of it in the trash cans. Bonus points if you separate your recycling from trash—our parade volunteers will be cleaning up and sorting the next morning, and every little bit helps!
